Wie finanziert sich die Geschäftsstelle des SRK?

Die Geschäftsstelle SRK ist selbst operativ tätig. Sie beschafft dazu eigene Mittel. Diese finanzieren die Entwicklungszusammenarbeit, die Katastrophenhilfe, die Koordinationsaufgaben im Bereich Gesundheit und Integration, die Administration und einige weitere Dienstleistungen. Zu je einem Drittel ist die Geschäftsstelle SRK wie folgt finanziert:
•	private Spenden und Spenden aus der Wirtschaft
•	öffentliche Leistungsaufträge und eigene Erträge
•	Beiträge von anderen Organisationen (z.B. Glückskette)

Wie gross ist der Anteil meiner Spende, der für Hilfsprojekte verwendet wird?

Von einem Spendenfranken setzt das SRK rund 84 Rappen für seine Hilfsprojekte ein. Dieser Anteil liegt innerhalb der Normen der Zewo und wird von dieser jährlich kontrolliert. Jede Hilfsorganisation hat Aufwand für die Administration und die Mittelbeschaffung. Für eine professionelle Arbeitsweise ist dieser Aufwand unerlässlich. Das SRK setzt die Spendengelder so effizient wie möglich ein.

Wir sind auf neue Spenderinnen und Spender angewiesen, die unser Engagement unterstützen. Deshalb mieten wir für einmalige Versände von spezialisierten Firmen Adressen. Das sind Adressen von Personen, die bisher noch keine Spendenaufrufe von uns erhalten. Wenn Sie dem SRK spenden, gehören Sie zum SRK-Gönnerstamm und erhalten unsere Informationen und Spendenaufrufe regelmässig. Ihre Adresse wird nie an Dritte weitergegeben.

Ich habe einen «Stopp Werbung»-Aufkleber am Briefkasten. Warum erhalte ich einen Spendenaufruf?

Hilfswerke, die von der Zewo zertifiziert sind, dürfen einen unadressierten Spendenaufruf durch die Schweizerische Post in alle Briefkästen verteilen lassen. Auch in Briefkästen mit einem «Stopp-Werbung»-Aufkleber. Das SRK ist seit 1967 von der Zewo zertifiziert. Um uns weiterhin für Menschen in Not einzusetzen, sind wir auf die Unterstützung möglichst vieler Menschen angewiesen. Deshalb richtet sich unser unadressierter Spendenaufruf gelegentlich an fast alle Haushalte in der Schweiz.

Kann ich Waren spenden?

Warenspenden für die Schweiz: Bringen Sie saubere und gut erhaltene Kleider, Schuhe und Textilien in die Sammelstellen von Texaid oder in die SRK-Secondhandläden.
Während der Aktion «2× Weihnachten» von Ende Dezember bis Mitte Januar sammeln wir haltbare Lebensmittel und Körperhygieneprodukte. Einzelne Warenspenden für das Ausland können wir nicht entgegennehmen.
Wir beschaffen Hilfsgüter so nah wie möglich vom Katastrophengebiet. Das geht schneller und ist günstiger. Die Verteilung ist einfacher und die lokale Wirtschaft eines Landes wird berücksichtigt. Standardisierte Güter erleichtern die Fracht- und Zollformalitäten. Unser Katastrophenhilfe-Team kann nach Absprache vor Ort am besten einschätzen, was dringend gebraucht wird.
Grössere Materialspenden wie Spitalmobiliar oder medizinisches Verbrauchsmaterial können zum Teil in langfristigen Programmen eingesetzt werden. Bitte kontaktieren Sie uns für weitere Abklärungen.
