Where we work

The Swiss Red Cross (SRC) helps the most vulnerable people in about 30 countries. As a member of the Red Cross Movement, we help prevent disasters and strengthen health resilience.

Our project countries

World map.The Swiss Red Cross project countries are highlighted in red. Here is the full list: Armenia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Georgia, Haiti, Honduras, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Malawi, Moldova, Morocco, Nepal, North Macedonia, Paraguay, South Sudan, Sudan, Switzerland, Syria, Togo, Turkey, Ukraine.

All over the world

In our mission countries we set up health services and fight epidemics. We help the victims of natural disasters, climate change, disease and armed conflict.

Increasing resilience

Together with our local Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement partners, we reach out to the most vulnerable people. We make them more resilient, so that they can cope with difficult situations, such as natural disasters.

Local aid workers know best what people need. This is why the SRC supports the national Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in its mission countries. For example, the SRC helps them set up volunteer networks, raise funds or boost organizational development. With this help, they can better meet the needs of the most vulnerable.
