This affects a large proportion of the population. With support from the Swiss Red Cross, the Lebanese Red Cross ensures access to care at centres providing medical consultations and medicines at affordable prices.

Lebanon is in the midst of a profound crisis – economic collapse that has plunged 80% of the population under the poverty line. Unemployment is soaring and the continuing devaluation of the Lebanese pound has turned basic necessities into luxuries. This alarming situation makes it extremely difficult to access medical care for a large proportion of the population who are already struggling to meet their everyday needs.
In this critical context, the impact of each donation is all the greater: it equates to essential consultations and excessively rare medicines, while the demand for healthcare is only growing. Every contribution is crucial in the fight to maintain access to care and ensure that health remains a fundamental human right rather than a privilege.
